Attorney L. Kay Wilson attended the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she earned the American Jurisprudence Award for Civil Procedure, served as the Managing Editor of the Connecticut Journal of International Law, and was a member of the Moot Court Board. She graduated in 1994.

From 2001 and 2006, Attorney Wilson served as a federal attorney in the Law Department of the United States Postal Service where she focused her practice on defense of employment law claims, NLRB charges and OSHA charges. She also counseled senior executives regarding disciplinary matters. Attorney Wilson earned a 95 percent success rate in cases she defended and also had one of the lowest monetary settlement rates in her department. She has tried numerous cases to jury verdict.

While at the Postal Service law department, Attorney Wilson developed programs to foster workplace environment improvement and enhance the interpersonal skills managers and supervisors. As her programs gained prominence, Attorney Wilson received national recognition and earned her membership into the National Speakers Association.

Starting in 2006, Attorney Wilson began coaching executives and managers in companies throughout New England on topics ranging from management best practices to communication and negotiation.

In 2003, Attorney Wilson developed an innovative program to coach prison inmates in the State of Connecticut Correctional system called "Motivation & Self Mastery™". Thousands of inmates have attended this program and it has consistently received high marks from students, counselors and correctional officials. Attorney Wilson has trained and managed a corps of volunteers that operate this program throughout the state since 2008.

Attorney Wilson has been an editor at large for the Connecticut Bar Journal since 1999 and teaches advocacy skills to underserved girls at Grace Academy in Hartford, Connecticut. Attorney Wilson serves as a Senior Litigation Associate at Crumbie Law Group, in Hartford, Connecticut.
