Corporate Governance
Good governance is synonymous with good business. Openness and transparency are key concepts in today's highly regulated and keenly scrutinized business environment.
At Crumbie Law Group, LLC, our focus is on the obligation of public organizations and municipalities to practice good governance. As a result of recent high-profile government investigations and corruption allegations, today's business environment has become highly regulated. Still however, companies and municipalities are increasingly susceptible to fraud and other inappropriate behavior.
Therefore, these entities need to be more aware of restricted behavior by employees and vendors. CLG serves its clients by assessing these risks, investigating suspected inappropriate behavior and developing and implementing counter-measures against such behavior, including new policies and workforce training.
While internal controls have always been an organizational cornerstone, the regulatory landscape for public/quasi-public companies, municipalities and public utilities have changed. There are serious consequences resulting from corruption, fraudulent behavior and other impropriety within an organization. CLG assesses organizational risk and implements programmatic changes to minimize exposure to these risks.
