Attorney Sharon Marchbanks was recently promoted to Associate Manager at our firm. In this role, she assists Attorney Crumbie in coordinating the firm’s cases, ensures efficient handling of each matter, manages processes among the firm’s associate attorneys, supervises our paralegals, and serves as Attorney Crumbie’s point person for organization and handling of corporate matters.
Attorney Marchbanks graduated from Roger Williams University Ralph Papitto School of Law in Bristol, Rhode Island in 2004. While at Roger Williams University, Attorney Marchbanks participated in the Judicial Clerkship and Public Interest Clerkship programs. As part of the Public Interest Clerkship, Attorney Marchbanks completed a 40 hour mediation training program, and thereafter helped to mediate small claims and landlord-tenant disputes. She also helped to teach peer mediation techniques to students in the providence area schools. In addition to the clerkship programs, Attorney Marchbanks worked as a student attorney at the Community Justice and Legal Assistance Clinic representing low-income individuals with civil and family law issues.
After graduating from law school, Attorney Marchbanks served as a judicial law clerk for the Justices of the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court from 2004 through 2006. She travelled to Barnstable, Plymouth, Norfolk, Middlesex and Bristol counties assisting the Justices with legal research and drafting memoranda. At the end of the two-year clerkship, Attorney Marchbanks joined the firm of Zisson and Veara in Dennis, Massachusetts. While she was an associate at Zisson and Veara, Attorney Marchbanks concentrated her practice in the areas of municipal law, civil litigation, domestic relations, and land use. During said practice, Attorney Marchbanks gained hands-on experience in the Massachusetts District, Superior, Land, Appeals, and Probate and Family Courts.
Attorney Marchbanks is admitted to the bars of Massachusetts and Tennessee. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, and previously served on the Board of Directors of the Young Lawyers Division.
